Sacramento boasts a great number of banquet halls, ballrooms and community centers for couples to consider when planning a wedding. Banquet halls, ballrooms and community centers come with their unique list of advantages and disadvantages for couples to consider. Some of the advantages are that because these locations host so many events they tend to be very efficient at hosting weddings. This ultimately means less planning work for you!
Most facilities are large enough for big gatherings and often have more than one room to offer you. Many offer packages which include all that you might need to host your wedding at a variety of different price points. The flip side of this is that couples may find it hard to personalize their wedding and show off their own individual style.

Capitol Plaza Ballrooms
The Capitol Plaza Ballrooms, just steps away from the State Capitol and City Hall, has been transmogrified from the Odd Fellows Hall built in 1854 into an unbelievably elegant wedding venue in downtown Sacramento.
The ballrooms are magnificent with 19th century hand-painted ceilings, perfect balance of elegance and romance, and is the perfect setting to begin your new life together. The Capitol Plaza's ballrooms offers the flexibility of hosting groups from 50 to 1,000 and will provide you with the finest service and most unforgettable experience.

Sacramento Masonic Temple
The Sacramento Masonic Temple is located in downtown Sacramento on 1123 J Street. With a number of hotels in the immediate region and access to parking, the Masonic temple is conveniently located for you and your guest.
The building was built in the early 1900s. Its large ballroom is capable of hosting large events. The ballroom is decorated with large windows, art nouveau light fixtures, beautifully detailed wood. All of which makes this venue a treat for photographers as well as couples.
Although the venue is quite large it offers couples many different locations for intimate wedding day photographic imagery. Above the large ballroom, photographers and their couples can have access to a hallway that overlooks the ballroom. This hallway with its balcony made for a spectacular entrance as we’ve photographed a couple’s introduction to their wedding guest from the balcony. On a number of times, we were also able to use this balcony to photograph from above as our couple enjoyed their first dance.

Croatian-American Cultural Center
Located at 3730 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95821, The Croatian-American Cultural Center offers couples an all-inclusive experience that allows couples the choice of indoor or outdoor ceremonies.
The Croatian-American Center has a large space for brides who wish to dress on site. This space is located on a second floor and allows brides to peer out and watch as the ballroom is transformed into the room of their dreams. This second floor also allows for some interesting pictures to be taken of the reception site from above.
Outdoor ceremonies are held on their beautiful grounds and with the couple and wedding party on an elegant terrace so that all guests can easily see. These grounds also create a wonderful backdrop for romantic pictures as both trees and benches show in a park-like setting. For the most part, your guest will find plenty of shade when enjoying a warm late summer wedding.
